Strasbourg is a city I've been wanting to go to for quite some time. Heard it was beautiful, they had a brewery there, and! A chocolate place with samples! I didn't get us a map though, so Richard & I narrowed it down to a little section of the town called "Little France," and we hoped to see the Cathedral, though that was pretty far.
As usual, driving in European cities sucks, but after we got parked and into Little France, it was a gorgeous! It was in a different part of France than we had been in before, just south of the German border, in the Alsace region. The city had a very different look than I expected: It had canals like you would expect in Venice, but the architecture of the buildings was very Bavarian in style. It was gorgeous.

We did manage to wander all the way to the Cathedral, and it was incredible! Europeans like to hide their cathedrals, so it was difficult to get a picture of simply the building. But this is still an awesome view of what it was really like there.

The coolest thing about all these cathedrals is that most of them are Roman Catholic, and since we are too, it is very interesting to visit the different churches, see the architecture styles, learn about their history, and gape at their intense details. (Once or twice we've even caught masses, and while we didn't stay, it was still spectacular to see!) This particular cathedral was built from 1176-1439, and stood the tallest cathedral from 1647-1874.
It's also usually pretty cold inside cathedrals...
