Evelyn is 10 Months!

I know February is the shortest month and all, but this month went by insanely fast!! She is already 10 months today! Time, please slow down and let us breath and enjoy this just a little bit more!

February 19, 2012

Claps, plays "so big," and can use the sign for "more" correctly, but doesn't always.
Loves playtime with daddy (or mommy, but daddy is more fun to her, I think).

March 8 & 9, 2012

She prefers mommy for bed time.
She gives kisses and cuddles. Sometimes those kisses are pretty open-mouthed and wet, if uknowaddimean.

March 11, 2012 - "Hey, I'm trying to cuddle with daddy here, so he'll let me stay up and play!"

She loves her bath time still! She loves when we squirt toys at her, but doesn't know how to do it herself.
I bought her a real toothbrush this month. She's not too fond of it, and we kinda have to coerce her with this one. I sing a little song, so hopefully she'll get used to it soon!
She can get up on her knees.
She loves books! She can turns the pages, mostly.

She can cruise on furniture, but only cruises if she sees something she wants. She won't cruise to cruise - yet.

February 26, 2012

She gets up on her tippy toes a lot.
She has 4 teeth - 2 on top and 2 on the bottom!

March 11, 2012 - This was not an easy picture to ascertain!

She can fake cry - and does a lot. Especially at nap time.

We are working on falling asleep by herself (again).
She is starting to babble more, and experimenting with new sounds and syllables. She even makes a sound that kinda sounds like "woof woof," but it's some sort of word to her...
She mimics us. She will try to copy noises. The funniest are her "cough" and "sniffles"
We are working on a sippy cup, but not too hard; she doesn't really like it.

March 10, 2012

She eats 3 meals a day: Breakfast is oatmeal and a fruit, lunch is a fruit, a veggie, and a yogurt, and dinner is a grain, a veggie, and a "dinner." (She eats 1/2 of a 2nd stage or 1/3 of a 3rd stage each time.) I also randomly mix in or substitute our food, depending on what we're eating.

She has 3 solid bottles. She likes a little to drink when she wakes up, about 5-6 oz. before nap #1, 3-6oz before nap #2, some to drink when she wakes up, and 8oz (sometimes more) at bedtime.
She takes 1-2 naps a day. That second one she needs, but she often fights.
She is definitely more adventurous - willing to inspect more items, and go more places - even the ones she knows she shouldn't be touching.

February 18, 2012 - Got into the wipes and tried to eat them. Mommy's fault! Oops!

This month we went to the zoo with our friends Brooke & Derrick, and their son Xavier. She was pretty impressed with the animals, even if it was kinda cold that day.

February 19, 2012 - Loves the monkeys! Just like her daddy!

She wears size 3 diaper!
She wears 9-12 month clothes.
I don't know an exact weight and height, but we're guessing around 22.5 pounds and definitely taller than last month! So at least 30 inches tall.
