Evelyn is 9 months!

Ummm, whoa. When did it become February? And a month and a half into 2012? And on February 13, my baby is 9 months!

This month has quite literally flown by! The days may seem slow, but the weeks go by in the blink of an eye!

Here are our updates for this month!

She got to go swimming this month - not the first time, but it has been a while!

January 21, 2012

Evelyn is very talkative! She says mama, dada, lala, nana, naynay, baba, and some variations of those. She is working on the "t" sound and "p" sound.
She is starting to understand basic commands, like: "Come here," and "Down, please." (She doesn't always listen, though!)
She still loves people and definitely attention!
She thinks her daddy is only for play time... But sometimes she'll fall asleep with him.

She can play games with people, like peek-a-boo, or whatever weird "game" we come up with.
She can clap her hands (and does so when the Big Bang Theory theme song plays!).

She eats 3 meals a day: oatmeal & fruit for breakfast, fruit & veggie for lunch, and a grain & veggie for dinner. Sometimes she has meats, yogurt, puffs in there too if she's still hungry. We have also started trying small amounts of adult food in diet.

She loves yogurt! And seems to love all her fruits and veggies. Not as big a fan of the meats, though.
She has 3-4 bottles per day.
She is a fast crawler (and getting into trouble for getting into things!)

She can pull up to standing and get back down. And stand holding on with just one hand.

She pulls up on anything she can, including our legs.

February 12, 2012

She is still honing in those fine motor skills but has a very good pincer grasp for self-feeding.
We are working on the sippy cup, but she doesn't quite get it yet.
She can hold her own bottle now - and does so willingly!
She loooooves bath time!
She makes the best faces - she is so expressive!

February 10, 2012

She takes 2 naps during the day, and sleeps at night anywhere from 8-12 hours.
She chews on everything.
She has 2 bottom teeth, but the top 2 are coming in with a vengeance.

February 13, 2012

She wears 9-12 month clothes.
She wears size 3 diapers.
Her 9 month appointment was on 2/14. She weighed 21 pounds 15 ounces, and was 28.9 inches tall!
